Lateef the truth speaker & Lyrics born make up the dynamic duo that is Latyrx. Their music pushes the boundaries of hip hop, taking the grass roots of hip hop on a psychedelic and experimental route.
The first Latyrx release came in 1996, also named 'Latyrx' and mixed by DJ Shadow the song was met with great success and a major underground buzz followed them. 'Latyrx (the album)' was released in 1997, and the rappers were commended for their individual flows over crazy electronic beats.
