ENO HENZE

Hailing from Berlin, Artist Eno Henze uses a range of media to create his work. Henze's piece entitled 'Ambush' was a wallpaper commision for Maxalot Gallery. The detail and tones in this piece are what make it more than your average wallpaper, ranging from a 'Red Ambush' to a 'Green Ambush'. The diversity of Henze's work continues with his later works such as 'subject accelorator', in which Henze's fascination with the simplicity of the signature. These laser signature drawings were compiled on photo coated wood, and although conceptually simple, the result is extremely effective.

DESIGN FOR A DOLLAR

The Internation Contemporary Furniture Fair of 2009 gave way for budding designers to showcase their latest innovations in this years 'Design for a Dollar' show. Students of Pratt institute of New York were amongst those to partake in the ICFF, with some industrially inspired pieces, and others practical contemporary creations with a refreshing twist. Each creation brings new meaning to the idea of contemporary renewal, with the reconstruction of old materials and forms into something new; costing no more than a few dollars. From 'Design for a Dollar' you can expect to find egg carton light shades, Bowls made from disgarded bottle caps and 'magazine stools'. The list goes on, but we have compiled a few of our favourite pieces for your viewing pleasure.
