The Mother Of All Paper Fights

What do you get when you,
take a class of 30 something BA Graphic degsign students,
split them into 4 teams,
give each team a different coloured pack of 750 A4 paper,
then send the teams off to create various weapons and defense pieces
for 5 hours with the paper
and then tell them to be back for later for a paper WAR.

Il tell you what you get, you get "The Mother Of All Paper Fights"

COMME des GARCONS x Nike Dunk High 2008

COMME des GARCONS and Nike prepare for another collaboration on the Dunk High. The visual integrity of the Dunk High is largely changed as the traditional basketball silhouette of the Dunk undergoes a more boot-like profile. The dramatic rise of the toebox and the black leather upper with a large zipper up the center is an appropriate approach for the Japanese brand who has been the subject of much fanfare for their avant grade and innovative styles.

Damien Hirst – Other Criteria

With his bank account recently expanding like Vanessa felts stomach after a little snack of two live chickens and a glass of sun flower oil, the world famous Damien Hirst recently opened up his own gallery space on Bond Street.

Consisting of his own work which is up for sale, and in the near future other artist hand picked by Damien Hirst himself.
The gallery space it self is relatively small but works very well in my opinion. Consisting at the moment of original hand signed prints, x-ray scans and hung paintings. The famous artistically designed skulls are placed in glass cases and so are the one thing every girl should want from there boyfriends the famous Damien Hirst charm bracelets.









The gallery space is opened daily, but I must state it is not a exhibition, but a gallery space so items I've talked about in the post may have been sold on before you even have read this post.

The Nike Sports Wear 1948 (wall)

So the Nike Sports Wear "pop up store" closed down some weeks back hopefully some of the big wigs at Nike pull there finger out and sort out something permanent (none of that bullshit just Saturdays)

But whatever, here’s some images of the final finished wall, which contained various peoples using the airmax90 as a canvas to express themselves in.

VITRA DESIGN

I previously wrote about contemporary furniture extrodinaires 'Vitra', but my love for their furniture was taken to a whole new level when i came face to face with their pieces. I recently visited the Yorkshire Sculpture Park, and with this is probably one of the best gallery stores i have ever come across. Apart from stocking in japanese books and souveniers, they also sold Vitra Furniture. Gallery stores & Contemporary Furniture at its best. Needless to say i took the liberty of taking a few photos of some of my favourite pieces.
One of my favourite pieces had to be the Jasper Morrison Vitra edition cork stool. Not only is it light and extremely durable, but also has a nice soft feel to it. Well worth the treck through the countryside.
