Covering many of Eric Elms most visible and well-respected works, the site itself not only provides a showcase of Elms’ talents but also includes some insight in some of your favorite graphics which were coincidentally masterminded by the New York artist. You will find out everything about Wool And The Gang: a knitting crew formed around Lisa Sabrier and Carolyn Main, founders, and constituted of Nadège Winter for design, Be-Poles studio for creative direction and a horde of happy pro and neophytes. Wool And The Gang offers a wide range of über-cool knitting packs created ethically – 100% recycled wool packaging made in Peru. For those of you who really don’t feel like knitting: already knitted products will also be available in limited edition... The cabin will also have products by Aurélie Mathigot, organic cotton hook designs by Anne-Claire Petit (from the Netherlands), Ketty Sean’s funny characters as well as many other ideas for Christmas presents.

WOOL & THE GANG:
Wool and The Gang offers knitted designs for women, men, children, animals, the home, and more, which follow the seeasons but especially, the gang's inspiration.
For each collection of unique pieces, muses from all walks of life are invited to inspire Wool and the Gang.
Each design is sold as a complete project which includes everything you need, the yarn, needles and pattern through to unique customisation accessories.
Each pattern presents the option of making the basic model, or your own unique customised version using watg's exclusive patches, or ribbons, different coloured yarn, bits of old denim or t-shirt... the possibilities are as infinite and crazy as your imagination.
KNITTING HAS NEVER BEEN MORE FUN, COOL OR EASY!

Ketty Sean: DOLL & PLUSH
Ketty was born in 1977 in Saint Germain-en-Laye, in France. She used to live in Paris' Suburbs for a long time and studied fine arts at la Sorbonne university. She loves candy, cats shoes, hip hop music and of course plushes. Ketty shows and sells her creations in Paris, London, Berlin, Brussels, etc. She lives and works in Paris.
For a part of the new collection, Ketty Sean collaborated with Studio Patrick (Anaick Moriceau and Nicolas Peuch), the talented couple of serigrapher and graphic designer from Brussels.
The decision to work on the theme of nature and the forest gave birth to new unic creations like objects and clothes in limited editions.
All pieces are handmade. From this way of working depends slight irregularities in the knitting and in the forms cut out of felt. This give to all pieces uniqueness and more value. All plush are not suitable for children.

AURELIE MATHIGOT:
Aurélie Mathigot's work is largely inspired by the notion of recovery and the necessity of talking about everyday life in another - new - way. Several preoccupations recur throughout her work: like the will to hide, the need for isolation and for being overwhelmed by the textile material.
Like an endless thinking about time flowing, out of anyone's control.
Like the desire to fix reality in another dimension to preserve it from leaving us, and to look in all things, by all means, what can remind us a presence.

Self-taught artist Aurel Schmidt’s publication, Maneater features a wealth of intricate and highly detailed illustrations which span some unconventional themes and topics. From carefully burnt paper pieces to interpretations of nature and urban landscapes, her work often requires a great deal of attention to truly view all of the work’s details and highlights.

BLANK STUDIO

Blank Studios latest creation is the 'Xeros residence'. Covering the outside of the house is a rusted steel scrim, which while practical, also creates an idustrial look for the house. The house merges sophistication and elegance with a raw and undefined feel.

Grace Jones : Hurricane, Album Art Work

Image Hosted by ImageShack.us

The artwork for Grace Jones' latest album, Hurricane, designed and art directed by Tom Hingston Studio Studio, knowingly works the conceit of the popstar as visual commodity: in this case featuring life-size versions of Jones made out of chocolate.

Image Hosted by ImageShack.us

“The original idea was to produce a set of images of Grace being mass-produced but with her being in control of the actual process,” says Hingston. “The crux of the idea is that she has ownership of her identity. We looked at a range of manufacturing processes, from car makers to pottery factories, but there was something about her being made of chocolate that had [the right] connotations.”

Overall i feel its a good idea, but badly executed which is a shame, well not BADLY, but I don’t think it sums up the glamor and eccentricity of Grace Jones.

Designer Hedi Slimane, best known for his past role as creative designer of Dior Homme, recently hit the streets of London in search of teenagers that best represented this generation of London youth. Over a period of four days they completed their project resulting in a brilliant improvisational effort featuring designs through the mind of Hedi Slimane.
